Illustrated cover ideas
So this cover is my main cover and primarily I just need the color schemes to match (:
Fortune for Thieves is my story inspired by Aladdin, Frankenstein themes, Six of Crows, and Game of Thrones (mostly Joffrey, Sansa, and the Hound inspo).
Aulani finds a cursed tiara which helps her parade as a princess from a tribe on another island that is extremely hostile to outsiders.
My idea would be her standing in front of a mirror looking away from it (kind of like the pose you did in this illustration) and she’s dressed in her princess attire but in her reflection, she’s wearing her peasant clothes (if you need me to pay extra for the alternate outfit/mirror image, feel free to charge me!)
Kind of something like this but its not meant to be sinister or malicious since she does feel guilty about lying and is more afraid of her secret getting exposed. So I do like the idea of her looking over her shoulder.
This is just an idea for the background itself but you can blur it / make it less detailed and more shadowed. Just to give you some references / ideas. And maybe have Hawthorn (the blond guy) on the back cover drinking wine or something.
